Sloped Patch
Dale,
I'd plant your pumpkin at the top and let it run down. Back when I
planted pie pumpkins, they would seek out downhill slopes (I'm not sure
how they did this) and send down their happiest vines and best fruits.
Generally this meant my having to pull the punks up from the steep
slopes of the flood control ditch. With an AG ... combine this
information with George Webster's video of the Big Pumpkin harvest (from
the slopes of Beverly Hills into the swimming pool) - since you're in
Oregon there's a creek nearby, and harvest becomes a piece of cake. If I
had a slope, that's just what I'd do.
Good luck!
Kathie
