cover crop tilling question

Hello everyone,

I was hoping some of you more experienced growers might enlighten me as to
what happens next. :-)

My cover crop of rye grass is long and green, and I am getting ready to till
it under. We have never done a cover crop before and therefor have a few
questions:

1. I am assuming it is all right to mow it before tilling. Is this correct?

2. Is it true that after tilling under the rye grass that the patch needs to
be left UNDISTURBED for 30 days? If so, can the patch be re-tilled after the
30 days?

3. Can or should anything {ex: chicken manure, ironite ..ect} else be
rotortilled in at the same time as the rye grass?

4. Anything else you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Karri
