Cliff and Mike,
My 2 cents:
I've been growing pumpkins (large and small) for ten years in western MT
(west of the divide) and have never had an insect pest yet. Maybe a mild
case of aphids but luckily no big deal. Did I mention it's paradise here?
But Mike already knows that.
