Canberra Scene

Hello folks,

A newspaper jurno turned up Thursday to take so photos and I discovered some
white patches at the blossom end of the Andersen #815. I figure it was
approaching 150 kg before the rot set in.
I turned off the life support system at 11am Saturday 20 Mar AEST.

The pumpkin patch seems to have been taken over with fungus and white flies.
The fungus is destroying the gourds and grapes as well. Bunches of grapes
have white fungus on the stems as well as the grapes. Does any one know if
this can been cleaned off or is it best to throw them out?
White flies are covering the underside of leaves on gourds pumpkins and
sunflower and to a lesser extent on the tomatoes.

You have to take these things philosophically - as the great American sage
Homer Simpson says
If at first you don't succeed - give up and
If you can't win - don't try.

Best wishes to all down under who still have fruit in the competition.
