Maybe when your soil is really horrible it is time to bite the bullet. My
recommendation would be simply to sell your house and move. Find a place to
live where the soil is better. Your wife will understand why she has to leave
her friends and family behind. If you explain it clearly (this is about
pumpkins), she will also realize why you have quit your job. Be sure you find
a really good site. Most wives will only let you do this once.
