Re: germination of cracked seed

Yes, I have the same question. I've got 2 MacKenzie 1010 seeds that
showed up in the mail cracked. Since theses seeds are larger
(awesome looking seeds) than the 3 replacements I was gratiously
sent, I want to try to germinate them. I carefully glued them back
together as much as I could with Elmers glue (it was like doing
reconstructive surgury on one of them--I'm not sure if it will make
is since the pointed end was pretty much crushed) and want to try to
germinate them.
I'm looking for some tips from ya'll out there. Since Elmers glue is
water soluble, I'm now thinking that I should cover the Elmers with
another, non-soluble glue--model airplane cement or something. I'll
probably try filing edges and germinating these in paper towels so I
can watch to see what's happening.
Any ideas out there?
