Re: Yellow Leaf Veins
Hello Andrew,
Just gave both hills a massive transfusion of nutrients, including epsom salts.
Crossing my fingers now.
Sent an email to the local OMAFRA (Ministry of Agriculture) and the fellow
indicated there have been a lot of reports of yellowing in emerging crops in the
area. Without looking at it, he suggested that it could be lack of nitrogen and
or oxygen in the soil. He indicated that all the rain keeps the soil wet,
driving out oxygen and nitrogen.
My in-laws corn field is having a similar problem.
I wonder if the pumpkin list knows if magnesium is driven down/out by heavy rain
also.
Let's see.
Regards,
Tom
