Re: Hello, Millican?

Hey Rich, Brian Fawcett here in SC., where our seeds
too need the strength to fight off the "heat index".
I would believe that I am one of very few who would
know of AND appreciate this seed. As your information
states, the pumpkin that these seeds are from was a
475 pounder grown in 1999 by the Louisiana State
Record holder Frank Millican. His record was too from
this year and was 578 pounds. This state record
pumpkin was the male pollinater to your 475 seeds.
Also of interest is the fact that the plant that
produced your 475 seeds also produced a 425 pounder on
the same plant.
In my humble opinion, yes, this seed would be better
than most to stand up to our heat and humidity, plus,
I personally feel strongly about it's genetics and
ability to produce a strong specimen. I wouldn't
anticipate the 'purdiest of pumpkins though. I
believe it will produce a faily light orange pumpkin
at best. Good luck and if you remember, let me know
how it does. Like I mentioned earlier I am one of
very few, I'm sure, who likes this seed, BF
