How to get seeds
Hello, Y'all!
How to get growers to send you seeds.
1. In fall, watch this list to see who offers seeds. That's how I got seeds
from Chris Michalek, Chris Andersen and Gordon Tanner, to name just a few,
for my first year (2001).
2. Join a couple of pumpkin-growers organizations. David and I joined the
Pacific Northwest Pumpkin Growers Ass'n and the Pacific Giant Vegetable
Growers in 2002, and they send us a packet of seeds every spring.
3. Attend pumpkin-growing seminars. You'll often come away with pockets full
of seeds and a head bursting with useful information.
4. Attend patch tours and weigh-offs to meet other growers.
5. Share and share some more, of your seeds and your growing tips.
