Hey, just to add one more method.
I went to the local deli and asked for one quart containers with snap-on
lids, the ones they put potato salad and the like in. Cut out the bottom of
the container, put on the lid, invert, fill with planting mix, insert seed.
When it is all up and ready to go into the ground, remove the lid, which is
now on the bottom, and the whole plant slides neatly into the hole you have
prepared.
Some people do this with Ben and Jerry's icecream containers, but I cannot
take the added calories.
