Mike , Greg and Others,
Welcome to the list and hello, from the great State of Illinois. I hail
from the North in Machesney Park (where ever that is). Actually I'm
about twenty miles south of the Wisconsin border just North of Rockford.
I did not realize there were this many growers near here. Perhaps we can
get together sometime.
I had only one of my two burke 1092 seeds germinate and it has been
moved outdoors. However, no sooner did I plant it and the temperatures
dropped and its been rainy and overcast ever since. Just now beginning
to get the first true leaf. At this rate I figure I will be ready to
break all records in the year 2029 (assuming the plant doesn't die or
stop growing). Play close attention to the pumpkin gods who regularly
post on this list and you/we will do fine.
