This isnt a pumpkin question, but I don't know of any better group to ask
about pests in the yard/garden. I've been finding nests of worms on my trees
and bushes. They start with a small cocoon in the crook of some branches,
and build on it until its huge and kills off the leaves on the branches above
the cocoon. The first nest I found had worms about 1/2" long. The nest I
found today was loaded with 1" worms just packed in the layers of the nest.
I soaked it with bug killer, peeled off the nest with a stick, and then
soaked it all again.
What are they, and what specific things should I be using to stop them?
THEY ARE GROSS! I have shivers just from thinking about peeling off those
nests!
HELP!
Thanks!

In New England they would be Tent Caterpillars. You must remove the branch
or break the nest and spray it with 7.
