RE: HELP Main Vine split


That ugly colored ( I wouldn't call it flesh) somewhat elastic and self
adherent
bandage material is called coban.  I actually tried to use it last year on a
stem
split.  It didn't work.  Vine splits tend to dry up and callous over.  Other
than 
being a acces point for disease before it does dry up it doesn't appear to
be
much of a problem.  I would just put some dry captan powder on it and keep
it
dry for a couple days, then go ahead and bury it.
