Re: ?

Mike : Its your pictures we have looked at+ mine. 449 in total. At one weigh off, its a pumpkin, at another
the same fruit would be classed as a squash. + difference in prise money makes this
issue important to get right the first time around as a lot more people are trying to grow
pumpkins rather than squash. 600 in pumpkin means something, much more than a 600
in squash as far as bragging rights go. ( some people's mind's) sorry Glen.
I believe we are all trying to get that overweight (above charts) from squash & thus
getting some of that squash color which has to be controlled somewhere & a line drawn in
the sand that say's, this is it.
Thats what I am looking for, a definate cut off point, way of telling, so you could participe
in any weigh off (world over) & know where you  are going to be placed. Pumpkin or Squash.
In all the years of this sport, there must have been a method devised to do this, other
than some poor guy going out on a limb & making a call. From a grapevine, I heard a net was
used & they counted squares. Is it true ? is the bottom of the pumpkin included in the count ?
HELP SOMEONE.

ps: This question is not ment to cause a conflict, its was put forward by a serious contender &
deserves a answer before rules are made up. We just want to keep rules consistant and equal
for all in our association.
