State/Provincial Top 10.
I can't open the attachment from AL but perhaps Kathie or Bob Troy you can
and give me one example from Al's ....
I think the idea is a very sound one to look at the top ten from each
state.--MB

Mike B.-- Duncan found it necessary to cut his top 1000 list to the top 100.
I suggested more people should be keeping records to help him, there is a
need and no organization is doing this, much beyond the annual results.
So the idea of the alltime top ten from each state and province was
suggested. This would turn the spotlight from the few heaviest to many other
growers, competing in a more similar climate in there own area.(I know,I
know,CA has many climates)
As you say too, this would help bring out the relative merits perhaps of
certain AGs.
My attachment was just an example for a suggested format.
The weight, site, year and growers'hometown should be shown, also the alltime
top 10 average.
A few on email in each state could finalize the list, show a top 10
average, name a contact person and forward the list to Duncan. The contact
person would be responsible for updating the top 10 once/year,taking only a
few minutes.
I haven't asked Duncan if he would support this, but just assumed it would be
easier for him than tring to collect and manage a top 1000 list.
Duncan, you are the kingpin in this.Does this all sound alright to you??
Mike I will attach that sample file again,I think I know the problem---AE
