I was once told... "pumpkin growing is like the game of golf" ---
"--keep hacking away - 'and things will/may get better' (?) " --- or
something to that effect (or worse)_ --- It would seem the handicap
would/could at least follow over... to a "worldwide" giant pumpkin
(weight) contest --- ???  (Thw first Saturday in Oct would not have to
apply... let the grower adapt to their climate --- OR -- weigh their
best just after the splitting

98' North America (possible down under) Handicap Pumpkin Growers
"Growers Stake" -----


Lots of possibilities --- lots of prizes... ??? Lots of entries... ??

(I'm thinking its its a good pumpkin email growers group "function"
'anyway' ) ---- (honor system)

Handicap points could be???

ie: female new growers + (or - ??) 123 pounds

    courtious help with unsubscribers  + 25 #'s

    female experienced growers ---- +65 #'s

    harse ? help with unsubscribers +50 #'s

    past world champs .... - 976 #'s

    pumpkin group subscribers with less then 50 questions -->>> + 75#'s

    pumpkin group subscribers with more then 500 posts... - 300#'s...
    (or we can flip a coin for Duncan --- just kidding)  + 300 #'s
     ????


This is a rough draft.... potential for klean fun???

Maybe each grower could put up a "prize"... and the "weiner" could/would
have the opp to travel to collect... (or UPS is ok too..)



Okay... who's "game" ???
