Thanks Terry,
I bought a soil mix and have found it has about 30% clay which is well mixed
and very fine. From what you say there is no point adding gypsum at this
time, I will have to wait for next season. I may try one of the liquid
wetting agents.
Sorry about the melting talk, the extreme heat has gone for the moment and
weather is much more agreeable now.
