Re: male flowers with lobes

Dan,
I'm not sure if there is any way to know for sure if picking out large lobed
male flowers will transfer to the next generation. However, it seems to make
sense that it would. If the male lobs are odd shaped or have a low No. of
lines at the base, between what I would call male lobs or segments I don't use
them. I'm a 1st. year grower and I plan on planting most of my own seeds next
year. This year I kept track of each plants No. of 4.5, and 6 lob female
flowers. Next year I will compare how many 4.5, and 6 lobs I get from those
plants' offspring. Ask me next year and I'll let you know how it went!
