Had the joy of watching my last daughter learning to crawl. She has been
in a frustrated mood as she keeps pushing herself backwards....part of the
process of going forwards. So I applied her experience to the list. Yes
we go backwards but we are learning how to get better at moving ahead.

Seeing the note from Japan reminded me of a note i tried to send to the
list early but I must have done something wrong sending it.

I remember someone from overseas inquiring about how to regulate seed
sprouting in the pumpkin . Then when i was gathering seeds out of my last
pumpkin I noticed that some seeds had sprouted . I studied there posistion
in the pumpkin to see if the sun had warmed one side of the pumpkin and
that had caused them to sprout . No.......they just sprouted. Are these
ones that sprouted the most aggressive?? I know there is no way to tell
between different pumpkins but what about in selecting seed from the same
pumpkin. Why was this grower wanting to know this??..........Brock
