In general, most growers in Southeastern Minnesota had difficulty during
pollination as the temperatures were quite hot. For example, most of my
pumpkins (including my largest) were pollinated by bees sometime after
July 20th. That is just too late in the season to grow large pumpkins in
this area of the country.
