Dave,
I have some pretty good seed. Even with a late start I have
three OK pumpkins this year. One is between 300-400lbs and
two others are in the 200lb range. The seed is a cross of
"1101 Northrup" and "1042 Companion" from 2003. So the
genetics are pretty good. I still have lots of seeds of that cross.
I even sent out sprouted seeds to some on this list this year.
One of those grew a 300 pounder.
These seeds are capable of growing one 1000lb+.
If this seed gets an early enough start and you fence off the area
to keep the deer away you can get a pretty nice pumkin with
good orange color. I am sure with all the people on this list
you can get any seeds you need.
