Believe it or not, even a dermatologist (like me) often has to tend to
his pumpkins after dark. My favorite time to do triple measures on my
pumpkins is 11:30pm -- so those pumpkins have gotten in all their
growing for the day.
Are you using those plug-in quartz halogen work lights on stands, or are
yours floodlights from the house? If they are the former, I was
wondering how many lights and how many watts you've found necessary.
I've been considering some of those myself. Are they weather-proof, or
do you have to put them away each night after you use them?
