Yes that is exactly what hybred vigor is!........this is why the AG was
crossed with squash resulting in a much larger fruit.......Mr Dill did this
as part of the genetics with the Dill's Atlantic Giants. Just a side note a
faster way to stabalize a cross insteade of doing it over 3 or 4 years is
to cross back to one of the original parents (like the squash) this can be
done in 2 seasons.
