cucumber beetles

I saved a few plants (Pumpkins) for my local grade schools Halloween
festival. I just noticed in all of the blossoms-cucumber beetles. 
Actually,
it was like a Motel 6 for them. I have never had a problem with them, 
nor have I seen them in my patch until now. I don't like spraying harsh
chemicals because of my dogs. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated!
