As I said I am pretty new at this ...my 2nd year ...I am known as the
pumpkin princess in our group...because I haven't been able to overthrow
the Queen.I have to eat a lot of crow...lol...I am always 3rd.
So here is what i do with my patch in the fall
I weed it and burn the weeds...I dry the old plant ...return it to the
patch and burn all my fall leaves...etc.... I add cow manure and turn
every-thing under...then I wait for spring... I had 34 tons of sandy
loam trucked in for my patch...because we are a heavy soil base...I
wheel barrelled all 34 tons ...I call my pumkins ROID..lol What else
should I be doing for the fall patch prep..??
Any advice would be helpful.
it's getting real cool here already...Southwestern Ont.Canada...
