Re: Seeds wanted

This is interesting. I didn't realize there was a patent involved.
What does PVP stand for? I guess this means that you can't sell
the seed unless you are Howard Dill or someone to whom he has given
license. Of course, there are seed companies out there such as
Gurney's, and these must have worked out the licensing with the patent
owner.

I'm also a first year grower, and am also chomping at the bit to
get some great seeds for next year. Here is what I've done: I went
and bought a bunch of bubble pack envelopes. Also, I aquired some
larger envelopes to actually send the bubble envelopes. I plan to
send the bubble packs as a "self-addresssed stamped envelope" to
great individuals out there who offer their seed.

I assume that the "seed season" won't really get going until
November or so? Even if someone is opening up their pumpkin now, they
would need to wait three weeks or so for the seeds to dry before
sending them. If you put "wet" seeds into a plastic bubble wrap
you risk having them rot, don't you?
