Frost update
Thanks for the help on the frost problem, but too
late. .. Last night we had an unexpected frost. Even
though I felt the conditions were good for one, I got
home too late to do anything about it. (My pumpkin
sitter only had watering instructions.) Even though
the thermometer said 40 at about 5am, we had frost. So
in a mad (very mad) scramble before school, I
defrosted the sprinkler and left it on until the sun
hit the garden. Still lost about third to half the
leaves. So where would one take an AG to get it
weighed around Cooperstown? I'm not sure if it's worth
the battle to save the rest. Gourds were unphased,
however.
It may not be big enough for a dugout, but now I will
be able to ride my alligator AG around in the lake
before the water cools down!
And oh yeah, does anybody have a recipe for green
tomato sauce?
