Pumpkin getting green coating !!

I have a large pumpkin getting a green cholorphyll like coating on the outside in places,,,To many in fact. It is obvious the underlying color is dark orange. Does anyone on the list know how to reverse this effect. I am borderline 75%/25% right now.
