No stopping mother nature Brad, unfortunately, it will be a grid type
system that is needed to decide whether it is over or under the 75/25
orange/green split. Dont forget, the udnerside, which on most fruit is
yellow is stil part of the 100 percent, so dont let them forget to take
that into consideration if it is orange you are after. But when it comes
to judging, the powers that be at each weigh off are the deciding
factors, case in point, ask Nic Welty. His monster (2 years ago) was
orange as could be it seems from pictures that I have seen but had
slight hints of green like you describe, and was put over into squash
category.
