Constructive
I think that we can still be constructive in developing from this episode.
Personally I am surprised at how many support a blatantly leaking pumpkin.
Rot is rot no matter how you slice it. No Technicality can change what is
rot.
At the Boonville weigh-off when we say "judges decisions are final". This
term is put in the rules for one reason and that is we as judges/organizers
will make the last call no matter how long it takes. Its our baby. Its our
call
Now you can challenge a judges decision anytime at a weigh-off and we will
look at it again. And if our ruling is wrong the first time .. as a judge
we reserve the right to change it.
as a judge it is our responsibility and our goal is to keep it fair and
honest.
Tom must be a helluv of guy, obviously a great grower.
But I feel sorry for the guy that placed second.
