I get those all the time. I think its like the skin is buckling . It
possibly indicates an inner stress crack. They should be fine if the
pumpkin is growing slowly.
Watch them and if they look like they are starting to open this nervous
Nelly knotches the vine to slow the growth but I am a whimp no guts no
glory.....you always have that option though--Mb
