Re: 2004 Clarence NY Weigh-Off Sept 25th

Well said Kevin....I started this post with a simple question, is there
money for Squash....25.00 dollars to haul from Canada, oh well....do the
seeds stay there ??....I was there last year and had a great time chatting
with growers......we are not nine years behind any longer.....from what I
have heard there should be at least three 1000 lb greenies this
year.......if so quite the jump in one year....if not I think you'l see one
hell of alot of 900 plus ........amazing what a little promo can do.....long
time Squash grower Mr Brett Hester has been very quiet ????.the boys from
Nova Scotia having been crossing pumpkins and squash for years, but how many
grow their seeds.....eh the fear-factor, will it be green or orange.....how
long will it take the squash to catch up, I believe not long.......up here
Port Elgin has raised the Squash money to the highest anywhere 2000.00
first prize, better than alot of pumpkin sites.....I know alot more are
growing them and how many are secretly growing one.........how many seat
back and wait for the masses to decide rather than being their own
person........wayne
