My garden spot only gets around 6 hours as well. I guess you make due with what you have. I have been able to grow over 300 lbs the 2 years i have been doing this. This year will be my third over 300. Not record breakers but fun anyways.

Hi. I'm new to this. I decided to grow some pumpkins in my yard last yearand I thought it worked out alright; I had four 15lb. pumpkins on 3 plants. This year I tried giants but all the fruit rotted. I ended up yielding just 3 jack-o-lantern type pumpkins. There is quite a bit of shade in my yard butthere are some key spots that may get 6 hours of sunlight during a summer day. Are there any pumpkin varieties that do well with shade or less sunlight than normal. I would like to grow some that exceed 50lbs., anything?
