A 39 pound field pumpkin is a whooper, no doubt about it! That's about
the same as an 850 pound Atlantic Giant. It is pushing the envelope of its
genetic potential. However, calling a Conn. field pumpkin "a pumpkin"
instead of a squash is an arbitray call by some judge that doesn't know
there is no such thing, no scientific or biological classification of a
pumpkin.
What's in a name - a pumpkin by anyother name would smell as... sweet?
