Re: Bobier 779.5 data

John,
I saw the Bobier 779.5 at the weigh-offs last October. I don't know what the
measurements were, but it was a nice long well cantalouped fruit. It was grown
from a 1006 Greer '96 crossed with the 796.5 Bobier '96. If the 779.5 picked
up the characteristic thick walls of the 1006 along with the superior color
and shape of the 796.5, you may end up with something special.

I was wondering If any one has, or knows where I can find, the measurement
data on the Bobier 779.5 (97). Also I am interested in what it looked like
shape, height, color etc. The reason I ask is because I have a good pumpkin
going on a 779.5 plant and wanted to compare it with its parent. For some
reason its not listed in the Ottawa- St Lawrence Growers Newsletter.

 Thanks,
 John
