I dont understand why people would want seeds from a split pumpkin?

This trait may not be carried on by it's children and if it's a strong grower
it may keep that characteristic. You just never know. It may also be usfull
for breeding in it's strong points to other strains. Splitting may also be
influenced by pollination, I don't think we know all the causes yet. I
noticed my 1006 that split had the least amount of seeds I've ever seen in an
AG. Did that effect the shape of the Pumpkin and blossom end strength? It
does in Apples. Just more thing for us to ponder this winter.
