About concave bottoms and what causes them and what to put under
pumpkins:
I know that "brock" (said in a deep tone, like the frogs in the famous
beer commercial) puts a 1 in. x 1in. wire mesh under each chosen pumpkin
and then spreads an inch or two of sand over the area that the fruit
will hopefully cover.
Sand is fairly slippery (how do you spell that?) and seems it would do
the job as well as any manufactured medium.
What about that, Mike? If you are out from under the pumpkin. Do you get
concave bottom? On your pumpkins I mean.
