Washington update. AAAARGH!!!!!

Well my best chance of passing the 500 lb. mark this year bit the dust
sometime in the past 40 hours. I went to my patch this morning and Deembo
had developed a blossom end split. It was the largest one in the patch and
was growing the fastest at this point. It measured out at 127-75-73 for
275" and 429lbs........
This has really put a dark cloud into an otherwise sunny day.........My next
best bet is on the 916 LaRue but growing at a slower pace........It may not
make 500............Now I'll have to decide which weigh-off to take the
smaller pumpkin to.......The next largest one in the patch is on the 769
Mettler plant..........Approximately 300 lbs. right now..........My daughter
is really going to be disappointed when I tell her this.... It was her
pumpkin because she had named it..........It was no "Whomper" but it was the
best one I had going.......I just hope I can keep the other ones together.
A tough year just got tougher......
