I do not know if you have received any information on germination of 
NICOTIANA seeds yet, have been extremely overworked getting ready for our 
late spring this year. So have not had to opportunity to read all the posts.

Here is an over view of the germination process for "Flowering Tobacco"

Surface sow seeds on sterilized medium, keep the medium uniformly moist, 
plants need light to germinate.
Maintain F 70 and germination should occur in 14-20 days.
