Re: fig


If you just want a fig tree, go to the grocery store and look for a package
of sun dried Smyrna or Calmyrna figs (white figs).  Scrape some seed out of
one of the fruits and plant it in a pot.  Keep it warm and you'll have
seedling figs in a few weeks.  No guarantee that any of them will be
fruitful or have anything good, though. Otherwise, you need to find a
nursery that sell named selections, since figs are commonly grown from
cuttings to reproduce the variety.
