I have never tried to grow ferns from seed or spores....lets just say I
have never tried growing ferns. Any suggestions?

This is fascinating.
My wife grows orchids and in some of the growing media some spores
grew first with the little green spot and now the fronds have
appeared. This was by happenstance but in the humid conditions and
relatively high light they seem to be flourishing. She thinks that
they are a type of maidenhair.
