In this either this month's or last month's 'Martha Stewart Living' (which
I read at a friends house, I swear!!), she describes a procedure for
sterilizing soil on your gas barbecue. You need to use a compost
thermometer to make sure it reaches an internal temperature of 180 degrees
F. (Only Martha would have a compost thermometer! ). I haven't tried it
with my used soilless mix yet, but I plan to sometime this summer. I'll let
you know how it turns out.
