This is interesting, but I'm not sure if you are referring to the stage at
which you transplant seedlings, or the depth at which you transplant them.
I'm assuming you are talking about transplanting just after the first true
leaves have developed.  Why are beneficial bacteria not needed at this
stage of Growth? (my botany is a little rusty)  

On the same note, I find transplanting many seedlings at this stage to be
difficult, and I've had a few losses due to my indelicate handling. any
pointers?
