Humulus propogation

I am receiving humulus 'Aureous' (finally!  Hard to get around here...)
and am going to propogate it.  Nothing in my faily extensive library
gives a clue.
I also have Ampelopsis brev. 'Elegans', which is very striking, however
I am loath to chop it up anymore, as I am not pleased with its
propogation, either.  Also, does anyone else grow it, and how successful
is it for you?  Where do you place it in the garden?
And another, the China Blue Vine....Holb. something (sorry, buts it 5:30
am and I'm not functional yet).  The plant appears quite similar to
Clematis armandii, but I cannot find much info on it, either.  What does
the flower look like?  Is it truely hardy in Zone 8?
