I've never heard of anything like this but the possibilities I can think of
would be a virus(presumably spread by insects or your hands), fertilizer
imbalance (although a lack of nitrogen would also produce discolored
leaves), extreme temperatures (plants would be affected simultaneously
unless some were more sheltered than others). I hope it isn't a disease,
that would be the most difficult to deal with.
