I would like to see Seedlist remain as a propagation -group which is why I
joined and I imagine why most people did.As GP at Plant-exchange has now
said , we are all welcome to join the seed-exchange there. So can't we keep
this Seedlist for queries about propagation and join up for seed swaps with
Plant-ex.?
Here's the latest hot-off -the-press joining info for you all.See you all there?

FROM PLANT_EXCHANGE
Hi all,
In an attempt to get away from the problems caused by the list 'control'
address being the same as the address of the list itself, I have been
making a few more changes here today.
All control messages (subscribe, unsubscribe, etc.) should now be sent to:
mailserver@gpdesign.demon.co.uk
The subject line of 'mailserver' messages is irrelevant as it is ignored,
the command should be sent in the *body* of the email message.
To subscribe to the list, the message format is:
subscribe <list-name> <your-real-name> <you@your-email-address>
which therefore becomes (for example):
subscribe plant-exchange "George Poulson" george@gpdesign.demon.co.uk
The quotes are necessary because of the space in the 'real-name' entry.
Both the real-name and email-address entries can be omitted, and the
system will then use the name and email address from the headers of your
message.
A message simply containing:
subscribe plant-exchange
is all that will normally be required.
To unsubscribe from the list, use similar commands but obviously with the
word 'unsubscribe'.
The existing subject-line commands will continue to work, at least until
the next software upgrade (due soon), but use of this new 'mailserver'
address should hopefully reduce the number of 'unwanted' messages.
Regards,
George Poulson, george@gpdesign.demon.co.uk
