Judy,
Wish I could help you but 99% of what I grow is Araceae (The other 1% is
Orchids and Hoya). I have never grown Delonix. I realize that this is an
exotic to you but when you live in a subtropical climate and *everybody*
has them in their yard - and when grown to maturity they are the messiest
trees - they are no longer exotics and are actually a weed. There are
several people here in S. Florida that grow tropical trees and if I need
something like that, I go to them... The only one that I have grown is the
Ylang-Ylang (Cananga odorata) and I just put the seed in a tray filled with
potting media, put it under a bench and come back in a few months. My
collection numbers just about one thousand acquisitions in Araceae and I
just do not have time for others. Hope this does not make me sound like
too much of an Eletitest (spelling?) but, as President of the IAS, I must
remain true...
