I live in Pennsylvania, very near to Lucky Leaf and Musselmans
factories. My father-in-law has an apple orchard as do most of my
husband's relatives. If my memory serves me correctly, most, if not
all, apples will not grow true to species from seed because most of them
are grafted on scions but what do I know? If anybody has a different
explanation of this, please let me know. Judy Showers from Pennsylvania
If they're hybrids, then you would probably be getting different type of
plants, from seedlings. so many percent one type and so many percent
another type etc. Over here, I believe apples begin producing after 5
years, but now they're growing dwarfs & semidwarfs and are getting
apples sooner.
