Volume 1 No. 5,  January/February 1989.  I used those instructions too. 
and have been quite happy with my set up.  I have used it in various 
locations over the several years,  this year in an unused bedroom with 
the heat cut off.  I have usually set my timer for 16 hours a day,  
with good success.
