Topic: Propagation of Coreopsis "Sunray"

July is usually the time I take the proliferations from my Coreopsis
"Sunray" plants. I trim them off the main plant and put them in a moist,
semi-shaded area of the garden and leave them. They always root without
the aid of hormones or extra water. I started with two small plants three
years ago. Now I have a least 20. The bloom is yellow with a red
throat. Very Easy to dead head too, which might aid in the production of
proliferations. I can swap a few for some other interesting perrennial.

I read with interest about the Gardenia cuttings and propagation on this
forum last Friday. A friend wants some Jasmine cuttings from me. Would
there be anybody on this forum that is knowledgeable about Jasmines &
can tell me their propagation & how to grow them, what media,
fertilizer, light requirements, etc? Thanking you in advance, Judy

What are you propagation plans for July? Are there certain plants which
you take cuttings
from? Any pointers we should consider in collecting seeds and for which
species? If you
know, PLEASE share with us your knowledge. Everyone will learn from your
personal
experiences.
